They look like they're charging $100 more for that 3rd one though (but $100 less for #2 so it balanced it out I guess, in comparison to SpecFic prices), those taxes and shipping are going to be killer.

BBTS has the 3rd Diorama up for $1899. That's $99 more than what Sideshow is charging, BUT BBTS has $4 shipping.
So even though there is a price difference, if you think shipping from Sideshow would end up being more than $104, then BBTS is a good alternative and potentially cheaper.

Definitely. And strangely my sales tax always seems to be higher from Sideshow than BBTS. SpecFic I was told doesn't charge sales to NY, but their shipping is unknown. Some Prime 1 1/3 scale pieces had really high shipping prices as well, and these Sentinel dioramas are as big or bigger so I'd imagine BBTS might end up being the better option than Sideshow. Also, my mistake on the previous post; I looked at the prices wrong. Sideshow is charging $50 more for #2 and $100 more for #3 sets compared to SpecFic. Depending on how much their shipping is, SpecFic without the taxes can save a lot. Hopefully they will be around when shipping so everyone can pick the best option for them.

Apparently, they ARE doing Colossus as a solo piece, but he is So perfect for the Dio! What a missed opportunity.

I wonder if the sentinel will be hollow like their Hawkman statue?

Because of the position of the legs I don't think the sentinels will have the same breakage issue as Hawkman, but it is a concern.
The overall display is really impressive but when Iron Studios first announced the dio a few years ago I thought it would be more like what they are doing with Psylocke and Archangel instead of complete sentinel statues that have X-Men attached. I really wish they'd done more connected bases to form a defeated sentinel.

Probably.
Heck most statues are hollow somewhere. Especially when you go above a certain physical size, else they would be too heavy.
Not all 1/4 scales are hollow, but when you start collecting 1/3 scales you’ve got to assume most are hollow somewhere.
