Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Really impressed with the look of the styrene cape. Very crisp.
(I love Edna, too... )

The best part about Styrene capes, is how easy it is to make a vaccuform box for it, and make more than one.
Seeing as how I've been doing the Styrene cape thing long before it was fashionable, there are lots and lots of tricks to get the shape and what not you want.

Tommy, I thought the cape you put on your Jim Lee Batman was great. Whatever happened with that statue, anyway?

I made 4 castings, and donated one to ACTOR Comic Fund. That statue is going to be auctioned off on Saturday of the convention, along with a casting of the Jim Lee Superman. The original was sold to a collector in Florida. I still have the molds, but they really aren't up to any more good castings. Not to mention the fact that it sucks compared to the new Batman Family pieces I'm doing for my personal collection.

I hate to dig up this old thread but I was looking for a solution to making capes and drapery and came up with a simple solution to getting basic shapes.
I just took a piece of foil, folded it, crumpled it and flatten it back out to make it nice and sturdy. Then I shaped the foil close to how I would like my drapery and then took a flatten piece of sculpey and loosely shaped it to the foil. Bake and viola! Hopefully this helps anyone else looking for a solution!
