I used to keep my empty statue boxes in my attic back when I lived in the south, and even with that deadly climate I never had any issues with damage. As for what it would be like with the statues in the boxes I couldn't tell you.

From my own experience, expect the statue's paint to fade a bit.

You are irreversibly damaging the paint when you expose your expensive collectible to heat or UV light. Avoid if possible.

The resin will get soft when it gets hot. I'd avoid storing them in extreme temp at all cost.

3 questions... What temperture ranges would you say before any damage would be caused? what if the the boxes are stored in plastic storage boxes? would the damage be worse if it was hot ALL year instead of just summer?

Light and heat damage is cumulative and irreversible.

The energy absorbed in these interactions causes chemical reactions that produce deterioration in paper, inks, dyes, pigments, etc. Fading is only a superficial indication that real physical and chemical damage has occurred.

These reactions can be even more damaging if other environmental factors contribute; for example, for every 14-degree-Fahrenheit rise in temperature, the deterioration rate of paper (and likely other organic materials) doubles.

I personally don't value the boxes very highly, but if you do, protect them as you would your collectible, i.e. away from UV light and heat sources.
