As far as I know, I thought they never issued/published Edition Sizes for their products. I believe they've also reissued pieces in the past (Appleseed).

So for a piece this popular to have a an ES of 500 is insane. I just don't by it.

Yes they did, batman begins v1, superman v1, clark kent, and socom figures all had edition sizes and COAs

There's a big difference between buy it nows and actual selling prices. The two preorders I found that actually sold did so for $178 or so, and it's dumb to preorder it from Ebay anyways.
