I haven't seen the original, but I've read the female characters have a lot more depth this time around.

Cool heist/chase film by Edgar Wright. Excellent ensemble cast. Narrative is pretty straightforward and while I loved the look & style of the film I think the massive amount of praise being heaped upon it is a little excessive. It's no Reservoir Dogs and it's no Drive but it is a fun ride and it's use of music as almost a character unto itself is very creative and unique. Worth a look for fans of Wright and/or the genre.

Your comments are interesting in that I saw it with four buddies and I was the only one who really liked it. Two of them out and out hated the film TBH because of how the climax plays out. I would give it an 8/10 as well as I really liked how Baby was forced to balance his positive relationships with his lifestyle.

Wow, you were the only one that really liked it? Harsh. Word is Wright is interested in doing a sequel. Not sure it's necessary, but I can definitely see how it'd work.

Pina (2011) - A tribute to the late German choreographer, Pina Bausch, as her dancers perform her most famous creations.
The performances are incredible. And it's one of my favorite movies to watch in 3D. 9/10

Agreed. It would certainly be a case of they can do it; but should they.

I made the effort to see Baby Driver in the cinema and just was not impressed as others were by it. I hated the sound track. I just don't get the fascination with the director. Now Wes Anderson there is a director who is unique.

Spider-Man Homecoming 8/10 I thought it was a fun movie, still think the second Tobey movie is my favorite. I can understand some people having issues with Iron Man providing the suit but it didn't cause much heartburn for me. Just a fun Marvel movie for me, thought the actor did a good job as Peter.

OK movie that looks and sounds great (especially in 4K).
