I have not checked the 1st ASM movie out because.

#1 To me spiderman/Peter Parker is too cocky.

The Lizard's face remind me too much of the aliens from the movie "Signs" or a reptelian Voldemort.

Spiderman in the comics to me has always been a smartmouth but in a fun likable way, not arrogant to the point I dislike him.

Maybe he changed after the 90's where I stopped reading Spiderman?

I never liked Ditko's art.

I will give the movie a shot anyway, but it has to come on sale and it practicaly has to be free.

How could you reach that point without having seen the film? You reached that point after a 2 minute trailer? What's that, maybe 10-15 seconds of banter?

There is a reason why he is too cocky. The story develops and you see him become a better man. It makes sense once you have seen the movie in its entirety.

I knew that ASM would get a sequel - it's Spiderman after all - the first one was okay at best. It should be easy to top it since it was just okay but hopefully they come up with a better villain for the sequel!
