Sorry, just pissed off.
7000 members.
They'll be the first to cry when the wolf comes knocking.
They forget, they're complacent.
They need a good kick in the ass.

My Uncle Sal was a tank driver with Patton, the whole way through Europe.
Lost 3 tanks. His Capt. told him, he was the most expensive driver in the Army. Nobody wanted to ride with him or be in his crew. Met my Aunt Helen, who was a Polish refugee in Italy.

God bless America and the soldiers who keep it safe and the soldiers who at one time kept it safe....Both Grandfathers here are veterans of WW2, and a couple of uncles that are vietnam vets....and a cousin who (thank God) just got back from a tour in Iraq, and another who is still there....I'm very proud of them and all who serve!

I've recently become a bit of rookie Historian on the "Greatest Generation". The men and women who fought in WWII. I can honestly say I have the upmost respect for all the service men and women who have worn the uniform to protect this country and it's freedoms at all cost.
The actual Veterans certainly know more than me what it means to be brave and patriotic. For that, it saddens me that I can never repay for what I've been given.

I know a lot of good vets that are Dems, (not libs, Dems, there's a difference).
7000 members on this forum. What a shame.

Well said.
Remember those that have fallen and those that have served so that the people here can spend their time arguing about the best Spiderman statue.
What a spoiled culture we are. No meaningful sacrifices for the average Joe, just a cushy life.

Perhaps some of us know what it means and don't want to post here about it. In my life, I worked for first at a medical library on a Naval base (USUHS) here in MD then later on working in the General Surgery ward at the teaching hospital on the same base. I've had family members die in almost every wary since the 1900's (nothing after Vietnam thankfully) and am the son of retired Sargeant in the Army who still works for them albeit as a citizen.
Just perhaps I don't need to post something online that shows how much I appreciate the troops defending us at the drop of the hat. I just take offense at the fact that I'm not Patriotic or something along those lines.
If this was too mean sorry but oh well.
