Just got mine today and I'm thinking of returning it. Even for $86 out the door on Amazon I expected better. Paint is a little sloppy but I could live with that. The paint chips on the other hand stand out, especially on the base.

Am I just being too picky here? Are these defects standard? If they're all like this, I'm just going to get a refund instead of a replacement.

No, most of the pix posted here indicate that yours is an anomaly.

Well I returned it anyways. It was a bad first impression for me and probably won't be buying anymore DC Direct collectables.

You should have asked for a replacement. DC has been around far longer than anyone else. Yours is an exception and not the rule.

Dc designer series are really Nice statues for the $$$ I paid 105 shipped, you got it for 86$ shipped your already ahead ;}

BTW almost none are ever perfect, one can try.
Out of 20+ statues I own, only 5 are perfect.
It isn't impossible but there's : id say 65% chance something will be wrong with all of any statue. Chips , paint ect.
If you have free return with amazon id just re-order and keep returning till you get a good one.
But if your a fan don't just give up.

mine finally arrived yesterday also had some problems..

Same peg issue as most people
2 scratches on the base and 1 in the middle diamond on her leg
Paint rubbing off on the black foot, its red underneath.

so annoying but from more then a metre away you don't notice it, don't know if I cbf sending it back..
