I can't find the PVC anymore so I guess I would probably have to get this one to go along with Hot Box.

Yamato was stating on Facebook that this was just a sample. What does that exactly mean? Is it a sample of a prototype? Is it not done? Why then show it if it was not completed?

It was a bad sample for sure. They should not have previewed it if it was not the prototype. If they really wanted to show it, they should have had an unpainted version like some of the displays at SDCC.

It was a real turn off to see the resin version. Hopefully, Yamato will redeem themselves when they do show the finished prototype (which I am sure they will).

One the feet look fake.. then theirs the paint app..
my Medusa looks heavily.. compared to this one !
she..thumb is cut off and parts of her look fake.. not just toes or hands !
she's looking up...so why have her eyes almost gone..like shes looking down and theirs no reason for it !!
Her clothes..would be nice if they were like Rituals garments +

I would reserve judgment on better photos. But that base is huge. They changed it and I can't say for the better.

Wow, that is a big base. I can live with it if Medusa comes out nice.

I agree, the big base is a nice change as long as the statue ends up being great looking. Yamato is beginning to annoy me now and here is why...that picture that Vallos just reposted from the Yamato Facebook group appears to be of the PVC statue on the RESIN base. Look at the SDCC picture from page 3 of this thread and you will see that the 1/4 statue is MUCH taller.

I contacted Yamato with regards to my "Discovery" staff and they claimed that they didn't know about that issue and that although their website says they have the statue in stock, they have been sold out for over 2 years. Now, they post "fake" pictures of a new reveal.
