That's a hard one. From a character perspective this is a better choice (IMO at least) but P1 TF line is awesome and def something I would aspire to own one day. 2:1 there in Optimus' favour, for me at least.

Original TF vs. movie... not sure, I prefer the "bad ass" look of the movie TF's (earlier movies more so) but the nostalgic appeal of an original Optimus... probably 1:1 for me.

Quality? We know XM will be quality and P1 TF's are always bragged about so 1:1 there....

Future value? Not one I take into account but if you do I'd say close to 1:1 here although more chance this would be a "Grail" due to the character and being the first release in the XM TF line... personally I hate labelling it that though.. the term is thrown around too much. Maybe safe to call it 1:1 but possibly 5:3 in Optimus' favour... yeah that's too specific... personally I think this factor should not determine what you choose to buy in this instance.

I'd say for character this is the choice but guess it depends if you see any of the above differently?

This piece is simply amazing. I'm really glad I'm not that into TF or else my wallet would be in major trouble.

Congrats to everyone who will be getting this, it's gorgeous.

In one of the episodes, Starscream even disguises himself as Prime:

All that said, I won't complain if they do make him smaller than Prime. As for who's bigger, All the Dinobots are bigger and that scares me.

Omega and Dev would be too big to do in scale in my opinion, heck even Jetfire

I am curious to see how they would do the minibots (hoping they get that far), would they do them as cheap statues, or as two packs? Likewise the Insecticons, a potential three pack?

Wowee, very interesting and super exciting... I guess my Statue collection may very well turn into a Transformers only collection. Time will tell.

You are joking right?

He'd be bigger than a person.

Agreed, especially at this price point. Statue companies in the past have always over estimated demand for most TF statues.

Can u just imagine?

I don't mean to bring this up again,

however as we haven't seen a print out of the truck so I feel that now is the best time to discuss.

I just saw the Getter Robo-Getter1 with Getter Eagle made by ZETT Studio.

The Getter Eagle looks great because it has a base that matches the theme of Getter1

I think it would be great if the truck had a similar matching base to Prime as if it was driving down some Cybertronian terrain.
