Wow, that’s strange. I too will be displaying this with blaster in hand so it’s a moot point I suppose.

I think this is a first for SS.
Yea I think it should have stated like that from the beginning. I was leaning towards getting it just because I love Bespin Luke. Now it’s a solid no.

I usually only post the link on the other forum as you can usually play the video without leaving the site etc.

Battery activation is subject to refutzing. Weak.

Interesting choice for battery placement. I haven't been happy with Sideshow's efforts in their Star Wars license for quit some time. As a result, my focus is solely on Iron Studios for my Star Wars purchase. They seem to be doing a great job so far.

I wish they’d just get rid of the light-up features if they’re not going to take the time to do them right. Putting batteries in a $500 collectible in this day and age is stupid. To be fair Sideshow isn’t the only company doing it this way. The only thing that kept the Iron Studios Vader from being perfect was the asinine use of batteries in multiple hard to access locations. If I cared about having the saber displayed on this Luke this would likely be a deal killer for me same as its been on other PFs.

I never understood why Sideshow went with the logic of R2-D2 requiring 3x small watch type batteries?
AA or AAA would have made more sense, as they are cheap, easy to obtain, and are available in rechargeable form.
There is a ton of space inside R2's dome.

Hmm!

We wanted to let you know that the shipment of your Luke Skywalker Premium Format(TM) Figure item will be delayed. Based on the latest production information, we now expect your item to arrive into our warehouse in Feb 2019.
