ARH Shiflett Bros Viking Repaint
Got some WIP pics from Saul so I thought I would share. I had Saul lift the head more the way it was in the original sculpt. The final version had him kind of looking down which was fine but to make the display work he had to be displayed above eye level and I didn't really have a set up to do that. So in order to accomodate this Saul had to sculpt a little fuller beard. I am liking it so far and there is more to come of course before it is a finished product. I included a pic of the original sculpt with the more lifted head for reference

Thanks All, and here is the final piece. I wish I had before and after pics but I don't and even if I did I don't know how to separate them and put them side by side.

Love it Darrin! Thanks for posting, definitely could be a Frost giant from Frazetta’s Conan, love that you tilted the head upwards from original.

Thanks man, I actually like the original sculpt head position best (see first post) where his head is lifted and he is looking a little more straight ahead. As it was I had to pay Saul to sculpt extra beard to fill the gap and it just wasn't worth it to also move his head in a different direction.
I felt like I had to lift the head though otherwise he didn't seem to display right unless he was above eye level, which didn't work for me the way my office is set up.
