Although they're the opposition, Carissa (who with her husband Rand run OzCC) appears to have good connections with the media-based (Film/TV) guests but not so much with the comics creators.
Before she started OzCC, she told me her plans for the show and asked if I would work for her to bring comics creators to her show. However, while I get on fine with Carissa, I had to pass because it would have been a conflict of interest since I was then helping and now work for Daniel (Supanova).
Rod helped them bring Freddie out for OzCC and she knew Francis from a previous Supanova show and she met Matthew at Armageddon Expo and she's known Jason for quite a while through SDCC. Stan was more a celebrity than a regular comics creator if you get my meaning.

The first Adelaide OCC just had Freddie Williams, so it seems like one or two international comic guests max is the trend for them.
