Since GG can't seem to put out an R2-D2 how would you think this would look with the GG full size C-3PO statue?

I think that one might be too small.

Have you considered this one, the scale is probably better. If I was you and was that desperate for an R2 I'd probably pick this one up and have someone re-paint it.

Don't be confused by the "6 inch" in the title. The Black series figures are 1:12 scale, so R2 would be exactly half the height you need.

Yes, R2 would be half the size of what you are looking for. Here you have an excellent video review of the first wave of the Hasbro line:

Not even close. Black Series R2 is even too small for the 6" scale.
