SS is definitely killing the hobby, and will take everyone down with them.

Killing the hobby? I'd argue it's more popular now than ever and doesn't seem to be slowing down. Sideshow is doing what they've always done. They just have more critics now. We have sideshow to thank for how great the hobby is if anything.

Sideshow is not doing what they've always done. They are now reduced to copying XM's art direction with their modernized and made up costumes.

I don't like when XM does it either. I feel sometimes they stray to far as well. I think for me there is a fine line to the interpretations and once a character starts to become less of how I picture them in my head they loss me.

I prefer SS or whoever makes a statue completely based in a comic version but I don't have problems with creativity.

This statue has anatomy problems and I don't like that at all but the costume, it's still very batman style.

I have the same feeling with the new Captain America (love it). Even if they make new costumes the spirit of the characters is still there.

There are a lot of costumes and versions for each character depending on the writter and draftsman so I don't understand why it is so important to have an official comic accurated one.

For example, I don't like new52 costumes and I would prefer a new and original interpretation than a new52 accurated statue.

Why is it so important for you?

I don't mind stylized costumes (from any company) and sometimes they look good and sometimes they don't. For me, this is in the latter.

Couldn’t agree more. Sideshow has turned into XM copycats.

Sideshow just hasn't found that balance yet ...of keeping with the classic costume theme and adding just the right amount of embellishments.

If they're going to modernize the costumes, then they need to find that balance. A few times they have struck that balance ...yet, there are times when they missed that balance. They went overboard with Deathstroker, this new Batman PF and the new Captain America PF ...just to name of few. They need to be more consistent with hitting that balance ...and if they do, then every new PF would look just as good as the new Wonder Woman PF.
