I think the people who describe BR as boring are fans of movies like Fast and the Furious where shiny things move fast, there's lots of loud noises, fire, topless chick on chick action and generic machismo guys say stuff.
Blow some sh!t up dude!! Yeah Whoooo!

You know who you are you little b@stards!
You're the obnoxious punks sitting two seats in front of me and directly behind me talking through every movie.
You have the attention span of a walnut, have no idea where Tripoli is and you smell
like you damn near drown in AXE.

It's a masterpiece but not for everyone. It sets it's own pace, and the film is immersive.
A lot of big themes overlapping, but it doesn't beat you over the head with them either.
You get it or you don't. It's as cerebral as you want it to be.

I don't mind a new film that takes place in that universe with new unique story and characters, but I do NOT want any direct sequal or prequal to the characters and events of Blade Runner.

Nice props!

When I was in school a buddy who was an Industrial Designer would always talk about Syd Mead the designer for BR and other films.
Mead's futurist designs/paintings and drawings are incredible and the guy was doing it before computers did everything for people.
Pure talent.

Wow Cessna that is beyond words cool. Amazing setup. Where did you get all that stuff? Are they official prop replicas or is some of that custom made?

Thanks guys.

Replica Prop Forum and PropSummit, two forums that help a great deal. PropSummit is all about Blade Runner.
Little odds and ends pop up like the matchbook and police ID, snake scale. I still plan to get a wallet and badge.

I printed a lot of the pictures myself from images posted at those sites. Pasted over an old polaroid for Zhora.

I had the cibi crystal glass filled with fake whisky, like at the food displays at restaurants.

Origami can be found on Ebay pre folded.

The gun is a Japanese replica product, Very well made. mostly metal, high tolerences, quite accurate.
Quality is better then the kits you can find. You can order in US but they cost more then a real firearm.
If your a Blade Runner prop nut, it's well worth it though.

yeah yeah. LOL

It's non-functional. The barrel is PVC plastic.
Japan has strict laws on firearm replicas.

Now there are experts that make functioning replicas out of the same gun parts used for the films prop.
It is based on an actual revolver.
But that is getting into some big money invested and
must be carefully done by gunsmiths who know what they are doing.
