Okay guys incoming unpopular thoughts:
I've always been a Predator fan but not with as much as experience as many in this thread.
To me this sculpt still looks stocky. I've always seen the Predator (this one as THE 1987 Arnold original) not as skinny or lanky but elegant with large long limbs.
His body still seems squat and the head too large. As if his torso and limbs all need to be longer without made any being thinner in comparison to the rest of his body. I always thought the head was too big on the CM too.
I’m not trying to convince anyone of my viewpoint or diminish anyone’s enjoyment of this fine statue. For me this is a ton of cash but if it is THE perfect Predator then it warrants consideration and I want to see it like y’all do.

I had the CM and yes it's head is huge, Steve Wang made it that way. Old balloon head as I used to say.
It doesn't get any better than this offering.

I can see what you're talking about, but it really becomes pronounced when comparing to all the statues that have come before. Not to say this one is 'wrong' in that regard, but also, knowing that Kevin Peter Hall was thin contributes as well. There are plenty of pics where this looks fine, and some where he looks a tad chunkier, but won't know for sure till it's sitting by itself, in front of my eyes. I think the head on this is perfect.
I think if it was changed like you state, it might look better, but as is, it wouldn't stop me from ordering, like the price is.

I used to think so too, but the more I looked the more I find it’s pretty spot on with the film.
Do these look much skinnier than P1?

The stockiness of the statue varies depending on the photo, and after all the references that have been posted, the same seems to be true for the film suit. While I don't think the body on this is 100% accurate, I'm surprised so many people are complaining now when it's the closest anyone's ever gotten (IMO). He's certainly not "fat" as some have suggested. "Solid" maybe, but the photos Yojimbo shared give the same impression.

I see your point but he is in a squatting/charging position. For me this simply beats whatever is on the market atm and I ain't gonna wait another 10-15 years+ for a 'beater' to come along, if ever. For some this is a lot of money, for others it's peanuts. But 10-15 years+ is most certainly a precious resource for collectors, or any living thing at that lol.
I think it was a deliberate move by Prime 1 to muscle this one up a little, make it look 'bigger', and powerful. To exceed the CM and other predator statues on the market. It works with this one due to his powerful, dominant pose. I think the predator 2 they would go with a slightly slimmer route.

Prime 1 making a real life predator flexing his muscles
Movie prop is unable to do so for obvious reasons, not unless it's CGI rendered. Makes me more impressed with what limited special effects they have in the past to make this creature looking so alive and believable. Kevin Peter Hall doesn't get enough credit for his portrayal as the Predator, that dude moved like a cat with great poise and balance in a heavy suit in crazy hot temperatures!

Their CH silhouette looks a little chunky, but so did the film suit in many shots.
Predators aren't lean, that much is certain. While Prime 1 may have muscled up their JH, the body mass itself isn't far off.

I wonder if Ecc is going to try and come back with a better 1/3 predator to rival prime 1

Looks near perfect there.
I don't think too many peeps are complaining, I can only think of three commentators on this forum, one brought the 1/4 so going to sh1t as much as he can on the 1/3.
One experienced bad customer service so not wanting to deal with Prime 1 products for now.
The other is possibly a price issue as well as anticipating maybe QS and JND may exceed this.
I remember this because it's a dim and a dozen to find people complaining about this
