So are both Hot Toys and SS doing 1/6 Star Wars?

Is that what I am seeing?

That's a good question. I was always under the assumption a few years back when HT announced their original 1/6 line, which has only seen the production of Bespin Luke, that HT and SS were going to work together on one line (like HT providing head sculpts or something to that effect). Then SS has continued to release pieces, but HT has done nothing else. With the announcement yesterday of the 1/6 and 1/4 scale lines, I was wondering the same thing you were.

yeah that is interesting. unless HT has been working with SS all along on the 1/6th scale figures. after all SS always promotes their stuff.
and maybe they will on the 1/4 scale figures too seems how SS has the 1/4 scale license?

guess we will just have to wait and see. def would like to know.

im really looking forward to the 1/4 scale pieces. i can only imagine how accurate they will be.

Hmmm I hoping both companies will make Star Wars 1/6, it will give us a even bigger selection

Only other thing I can think off is SS is handing off the Star Wars 1:6 scale license to Hot Toys... (shrug)

yeah that could be a possibility. just like how Hasbro handed it off to SS.
not sure if anyone remembers that. but when Hasbro announced that they weren't going to be making any more 12" figures they stated that Sideshow would be the ones taking over and making them from there on out.
and if you can remember. SS's 12" SW figures were about 50 to 60 dollars when they started making them back then. when Hasbro's were about 20 dollars.
and now they are 250 lol crazy.

but the 1/4 scale figures is all new. so looking forward to those.
imagine all the details that HT will be putting into them?
