So if it is Cap vs IM does this mean that Marvel is copying DC now?

What Is CIVIL WAR, And How Could It Work In The Marvel Cinematic Universe | Badass Digest
Considering there are hardly any secret identities in the MCU, it's not going to be the same Civil War in the movies.

But just like Winter Solider, where the bare elements of the comic worked into the movie, the Civil War storyline could work with heroes vs heroes.

This article dwells into the comic storyline and mainly explains how it could be adapted for the movie.

Another possibility someone mentioned in the article comments being Tony wants to arrest Bucky, while Steve wants to save him; which may become the jumping point for their battle.

Also Spidey is crucial to Civil War. Sony and Marvel's deal may go through. But I wonder how they will have Tony and Peter bond so quickly, if at all that's what is going to happen in the movies.

That makes more sense in the MCU framework than the existing story in the books.

If Tony feels/is held responsible for the events in Age of Ultron it could speak to his motivations. I like it as to just adapt the Civil War story as is would run contrary to many themes and Stark/Rogers political/social stance in IM2,3 and TWS.

That's true only if the movie is to follow the comics closely, which we have already seen doesn't always happen. I'd be willing to bet the writers can come up with a Civil War movie without Peter.
