Actually, there is also the Claudette Colbert version which predates the Lana Turner version by more than 20 years (1934) ... both versions were equally spectacular ... the CC version to me was more charming, while the LT version was more heart felt.

It's possible that I've seen them and just don't recognize the film names. A lot of older movies I watched with my mom or grandmother as a kid.
I have seen and recommend Rebecca, as well. A great Hitchc0ck film with enough drama and attitude to qualify for gayness!
Also, The Women, which is getting remade and in my opinion, the remake will never match the charming cattiness and wholesome wink-wink humor of the original.
