When I was repacking my statue to return it I noticed one of the cats had weird discoloration on one side. I doubt the cats are going to last over time. If you buy from Big Bad save the box the shipper came in. They don't want it shipped back to them in the shipper.

Man BBTS support SUCKS. I'm definetely not going to order anything with them again. HMO replied that they'll work it out and I hope they do, they've done well in the past when I've ordered directly with them. I'm definitely going to stick with doing that in the future.

Oh? What's the problem? My dealings to return her to BBTS went very smoothly. Nothing was quick, but smooth nonetheless.

One of my cats (the big one) has a lot of discoloration on the face.



They have offered to take it back for a refund but I would like to keep it, just get the issue fixed. They made me go back and get more pictures for seemingly no reason and then almost instantly said they won't replace it and that they haven't replaced anything for this statue, thought I saw some people say here they would rectify but I may have misread that. It certainly doesn't seem like they reached out to HMO at all.

When I reached out to HMO directly they said this


"We will work it out with BBTS, appreciate your patience with us.

Once again, sorry for the inconvenience caused."

Ah I see. Well, I did everything through HMO first, then just let BBTS know the final result (sent them the entire HMO chat transcript). So maybe wait for HMO to reply.... they are slow though....

I have yet to open the new statue BBTS sent me. I hope I have no more issues. I have no clue why HMO decided to use felt on the cats. Real stupid decision. They will go bad eventually spoiling the look of the entire statue.

I think the felt looks great, I don't expect them to yellow over time some sort of liquid must have got on them. Possibly excess glue that was used to adhere it on.

HMO sucks. I feel like BigBadToyStore gave me a return. This box looks like it was previously used. I wonder if they gave me a return as a replacement because the art box is dented, some of the inside torn, and the Styrofoam is dirty. The arm on the replacement fits snug, BUT...the cats hair is messed up. Yellowing and hair with blemishes.

It doesn't seem to have a magnet. The hair around the legs seems like it's PVC because on the thigh it's not flush with the leg. The tail doesn't insert snug.

The tentacles key is different. The holes on this one are shallow. So I essentially have to pierce the hole to push them in. Now I got to go through this bs all over again.

This statue definitely has huge Quality Control issues. My first delivery had several problems with the discolored cats and pieces that didn't fit correctly. BBTS told me they would only send me a replacement after I sent the original back but I knew that would be a bad idea since the replacement was likely to also have issues.

Eventually, they told me I could buy a 2nd statue and return the 1st after I mixed and matched the pieces. It meant I temporarily had to pay for two but this was 100% the right call since my 2nd statue had various issues and the only way I could get a good set of pieces was by mixing and matching across both. It's a huge pain, particularly because of how big and heavy this one is.

I wish I had kept the original statue and tried a mix and match myself. Now I have a statue that has more issues than the one I returned. The cats on my original statue were fine. The hair around her thighs was not raising up from the body, the tail fit well in the body. I have no idea why the tentacle's keys and insertion holes on the heads are are completely different on this one. I feel the factory was maybe not making them all up to the same spec.

I have no idea what to do. I'm afraid I may get another messed up statue. I have bought unlicensed GK with better quality control than this statue.
