That it is/was. Here's mine:

Was created by Steve West and his company Cellar Cast.

I think it is about 12" from top to bottom, and 16" to 18" across.

Long out of production, as I believe that New Line
put the smackdown on them due to LOTR licensing.

JSA - if this is a kit that was release a while ago, why was it on the wall with GG's stuff at the con?

Kujo - They are two different busts. The one at the Con is larger I think. JSA's is the kit ( I have one). If you look closely, the teeth of the one at the con are larger, and the mouth is completely different.

Dunno, but what I suspect is that it may have been
picked up by some company for production possibly.

Sideshow's Legendary Scale Cave Troll Bust also started
out life as one of Steve West's/Cellar Cast's kits, and
then Sideshow got the licensing to officially produce it
as a pre-paint statue/bust. That is what I believe may
happen with the Balrog bust.

I inquired directly with Cellar Cast years ago on it, and was
told that it was out of production, and they'd have to re-do
and modify the molds were they ever to create any more.

Would be pretty neat were it to occur, but I don't prefer
the paintjob on the one shown at the convention.
Balrog is supposed to be made of fire and flame, and
therefore (IMHO) should be red and yellow and hot looking.

Actually, all I see is a red X for the first picture of the Balrog head.

I saw it briefly one time a few days back, but now it is X'd out.

Would somebody be kind enough to re-post it to where I could see it for comparision purposes?

My fault! I deleted it in error from my photobucket page. Can't download the picture because my work computer won't allow me, but here's the link to it

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

The GG one is completely different. Looks more detailed and tried to be more realistic without fire. I like both of them though. Can I have it!?

Looks fantastic! Great paint job, looks like its illuminated from behind. Love to see this as a legendary scale bust from Sideshow

I would hope they'd add the neck and shoulders to it.
