Indeed PVC requires steel molds, ideal for large runs but pricey for small ones.

Well guys, it isn’t going to happen unless you all join the FB group and vote to get it made.
Ant told me it’d take 150 of us to make it a reality.
So far we have like 35 yes.
And like 88 No.
So we Hugo enthusiasts are screwed.

I'd be down if it's great and limited to 150 sounds awesome. Not super into MM on it though.

Don't tell me they look at votes as guaranteed sales. Would have some sort of merit if a non-refundable deposit were required to vote.
It's stubborn to not consider that some people just don't do FB and similar things out of principle. It's sad because I think Hugo is viable, with a modest Sideshow marketing boost. It's money left on the table.
Are most of the members in the group serious collectors?

If it is that hard to make it happen even at the concept phase then imagine how hard it would be to sell him. It isn't difficult to vote yes on a poll, and even then people aren't doing it. Just look at how many statues (Honda, Oro, Ken, even some Ryus, etc..) are sitting at discounts on SSC and still haven't sold out. I like Hugo a lot, but this seems like a hard sell to me. I could definitely be wrong though. It helps that Poison is already out and came out nicely. Maybe if they try to play up the duo it would be more attractive for buyers.

Wonder if they've sold 150 Ultra Blankas yet. Surely that statue could have benefited from this level of scrutiny in the concept stage.

Companies don't do this for guaranteed sales because of course not everyone is part of the group and not everyone who says yes will actually buy it but they use it to gauge interest. If 40 people say yes but 3 times that number say no then it doesn't look great :|

I definitely want a 1/4 scale of Hugo. I've always preferred collecting the larger characters in PF form.
