A Walt Simoson Thor/BRB auction

Walt has drawn a piece to help with a couple that posts on Newsarama that were burned badly in the California fires.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...%3DI%26otn%3D1

Walt should get some kind of Humanitarian award with all he's done.

Very nice - The story behind the injured couple was very sad. I can't believe the charity for them was nick-named CORPSE (or was that a nat'l org just helping out?) - it just seemed a little off to me.

Whats up with this line in the auction?

NOTE: Walter does not sell his art, but on rare occasions he will do a piece for a charity art auction, so if you've been wanting to pick up a great Simonson piece this will be one of your few chances!
Plenty of people have Simonson's art pages and they didn't all come from charity auctions. The seller's just trying to create a more exclusive air around the piece.

well most of Walt's artwork has come from his inkers or some that he has personally had donated. He has done charity auctions but 85% of his work, he still owns.

an associate of mine who has vistited his place has told me that he literally has his artwork on shelves gathering dust

Walt does post over on the Thor boards.
He hasn't done commissions since he left Marvel, he's too busy these days.
He DOES do charity pieces which ARE very rare even with a busy year last year for those.

He did one for Gene Colan, a two page spread for the Super-Man creator's house, and a couple more that I'm not sure which ones.
