As for Gerry Turnbull's amazing collection, here are two of my faves -
an incredible Doc Strange montage by John Byrne
and a terrific Doc Strange by the legendary Kevin Nowlan
Best,
Royd

Goodness, that thing is beautiful! Does Lopresti still do commissions? What is his price list looking like?

You guys skipped Gerry Turnbull which works out great for me as he has a ton of amazing pieces
1.Paul Smith Original Avengers
http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryP...&GCat=0&UCat=0
Paul Smith did such an amazing job on this commission. The intensity on the Hulk's face is fantastic. I love this one!
2. Paul Smith Original Defenders
http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryP...847&GSub=40419
Another great commission with two of my favorites, Hulk and Silver Surfer.
3. Paul Smith Batman

Piece=306173&GSub=47644
I had a tough time picking 3 pieces. Looking through Gerry's gallery again made me realize I really want a Paul Smith commission.

It's good to see my thread find some life! Ken has an outstanding collection, here are my 3 favorites:
Silver Surfer Annihiliation Cover # 3 by Gabriele Dell'Otto
http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryP...&GCat=0&UCat=0
Dell'Otto's art is masterful, and this piece is simply outstanding. I love his understanding of how the silver reflects and still manages to make very clear what's going on.
The Stand Captain Trips # 1 cover by Lee Bermejo
http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryP...&GCat=0&UCat=0
IMO, Lee Bermejo does some of the best pencil rendering out there, and this is a very imposing piece. I love it.
Galactus and Nova DPS New Avengers 40 Jim Cheung
http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryP...&GCat=0&UCat=0
I don't really know a lot about Galactus or Nova, other than Galactus eats planets like a fat kid in a twinkie factory, but this is an awesome piece. The perspective really makes this one stand out among the crowd. Very cool.
Here's my link: http://www.comicartfans.com/GalleryD...asp?GCat=25596
Don't forget to include yours so we can keep this going!

Thanks, Ryan.
He's super booked at the moment, he was telling me... this commission cost me around $260.00, including shipping. I don't know much about commission prices, but that seemed reasonable to me.. plus, Aaron himself is a very amicable person to communicate with.

I've previously checked out your gallery and my faves would have to include:
this lovely example of Jim Lee's work on WildCATs
and this sweet commission from Aaron Lopresti
Best,
Royd

Thanks Royd!
Yeah.. I'm new to buyin' comic art (and statues, for that matter), but I'm lovin' it so far.
Thank God my wife doesn't have a problem with it, either..

I didn't forget Gerry! :P I snuck in before you
I also tried to list Gerry's Original Defenders piece by Paul Smith but Photbucket was playing up so I went with the two I'd managed to upload. Best,
Royd
