Was that "save the crashing plane" story from Batman or Detective? If its Detective maybe I'll give the Bat book a shot

No, that was Batman. Detective has Batman and Batwoman building a Bat-Army. I really did not like this issue, either.

Batman is about the two new mystery Superman-like heroes that are protecting Gotham now. It will also be the run that eventually ties into the Rebirth/Watchmen storyline with Barry and Wally.
Detective Comics is about Batman and Batwoman building up the army of Robins and Bat Family characters to get them all trained up to Batman and Batwoman's level to prepare for a coming battle.

Yes. When Snyder and Capullo left so did I...

Sadly, I agree. I plan to check out All-Star Batman, written by Snyder.

I'm a trade waiter... well, actually a Hard Cover waiter lol when it comes to Batman and Detective Comics... and DC decided to release the soft cover version of the titles first with Rebirth...unfortunatly... so i have to wait untill an unknown amount of time to get the titles as HCs... other than this unfortunate incident, i really liked the previews which i saw on cbr and newsarama... they were promising.
But I want HCs...

Both Batman and Detective have been phenomenal. As much as I liked Snyder's run I honestly think that this is stuff is far better than Superheavy, Zero Year and Endgame. Only the modern classic Court of Owls and Death of the Family (to a lesser extent) stand a notch above.
Honestly I was set to quit comics with Rebirth and now I can't wait for Wednesdays again.

I'm reading The Flash, both Green Lantern Books, Titans, Batman, & The Hanna Barbera comics & have really been enjoying them. For the 1st time in a decade, I'm buying more DC on Wednesdays, than Marvel.

Have you ever imagined a world with no hypothetical situations?

Marvel has just been driving me nuts lately resulting in less and less books from them. Really tired of their events needing to spill into everyone of their titles. I'll be enjoying a given book only for its story to be put on a few month 'hiatus' so they can address whatever nonsense is happening in the given event. It's making buying their books (especially from an e-LCS) a headache as I have to keep checking whether I actually want the issue based on what it ties into.
Greatly prefer that DC keeps their event tie-in titles to issues that it makes sense in and limits the tie-ins as best they can to keep regular issues on track
