Hatchet Job (Mark Kermode - Love movies, hate critics)

I'm half way through. I'm no speed reader, picking the book up every now and then to continue with it.

Just finished the American Vampire graphic novels. Couldn't put them down. Highly recommended.

I like it. Really good story, and you can't go wrong with Greg Capullo doing the pencils. I'm gonna stay with it.

Yeah, Millar with Capullo caught my attention, I'll have to give it a look.

The other book I'm interested in is Black Hammer, it's a Dark Horse book by Jeff Lemire.

1st 2 issues were really, really great w/ Millar tackling some concepts people have thought about before, but I'd never seen so fleshed out & coolly presented. His 3rd ish got a little more traditional in its storytelling but still was tons of fun. I like Mark Millar's writing a lot, but notice, at times, he can drop the ball after 3-4 issues of a neat idea. I'm confident he'll be able to milk the idea for Reborn for a long while to come. It's a great book.
