She does prefer the girl characters over the boys, which shouldn't be too surprising. What's great though is that girls today have alternatives to Barbie and Cinderella. She loves what these women can do. I know she finds it empowering. Last year, we bought the Bruce Timm Justice League tin box set which contains the complete series. She loved it. Over the years, we also saw the Superman series, which she also liked very much. Basically, she'll go for anything Bruce Timm. She totally connects with his work.

Great stuff! I used to draw with my girls when they were younger – sounds like you have a budding young artist on your hands. Be sure to acquaint her with a certain large green character so that we can keep her busy when she opens her first commission list!
