A female Thor is fine with me if it is done in the same way as BRB. She proves worthy and gets her own hammer type of thing. Thor has been such a fun read for me, so it will be a bit of a letdown to have a hammer-less Thor. Will he even have his own title anymore?
I like Thor, women, and Jason Aaron has done the best Thor I've ever read, so I may gave the series a try. On the surface, it seems a bit too gimmicky and derivative, though. I'll probably await early reviews.

Could be cool, and it should be interesting to see how long they let this rock.
Also, that second pic needs a PF, stat.

It looks like he's still going to be a big player in Hickman's Avengers.

Which Marvel universe does the female Thor exist in? Earth 616, Ultimate, Marvel Now?
Is Thor a female for all continuities or just this one title?
Marvel's website is just a vague as all the articles I could find.

Just another "stunt" to garner publicity and increase sales. Of course, what isn't a stunt now-a-days. I wonder how long Marvel will commit to this character.

I wonder if this is the same female Thor that recently appeared in Avengers #30 when the team went forward in time. That would be cool.
I'm guessing after a year or two when Thor is found worthy again, he'll get Mjölnir back, but female Thor will keep her powers and get the axe she has in Avengers #30. Just like how Beta Ray Bill got his own hammer Stormbreaker after Mjölnir was given back to Thor.

I thought "Thor" was a name and not a title.
‘Whosoever holds this hammer, if HE be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor.’
Power of Thor. Doesn't say becomes Thor. So why is Marvel so adamant that she IS Thor? And not just saying she has Thor's powers?
I don't know enough about Marvel comics. Was Beta Ray Bill called "Thor" when he wielded Mjölnir?
