So with Chronicle's announcement of their partnership with the museum and Jr., I thought it would be a good idea to discuss a wish list. It looks like they're doing a 1:9 "Silver Warrior" which is exciting. The first thing that popped in my head was the "Fighting Man of Mars". As some of you know, this was to be the next Frazetta piece by ARH before it got cancelled.

Chronicle said they would not be repeating what's been done before, so I assume they mean ARH. However, I understand there are quite a few pieces that other manufacturers have done too (like Reel Arts). I've only been collecting for a few years so I'm not that familiar with Reel Arts and their history. I know TNovak and a few others are.

I guess I'm wondering what would be left for Chronicle to do if they stick to those guidelines and considering how the Frazetta rights are divided.

Paul from Chronicle mentioned doing a DD piece based on a Frazetta sketch. Pulling ideas from his sketches might be one way to tackle some original statues and busts that haven't been done before.

What would you guys like to see?

I have sold most of my statues but would likely buy a DD2, a rough sculpt has been floating around for years (from Reelart I think). I also like the smaller scales being mentioned. One thing I was glad to be rid of was all the boxes, but even then pieces like the Conqueror came in mini fridge boxes.

One thing I saw in the Chronicle thread was the same statement that came from ARH about representing the art, and what you see in the painting is what we will sculpt. I don't think ARH delivered on that. It would be hard to do given the varying degrees of softness in these paintings.

Chris Gabbrish did an awesome DD2, actually I think 2 of them in different scales. I don't have time at the moment to search for pics but they look amazing.

Were these produced? I know there pics floating of a dio piece with the DD finished and cut outs of the creatures added to the base.

Poly told me that. I think she said you might even be getting #1, unless that is going to Chris?
