It actually looks pretty good! The size is impressive at 44". Small ES on the EX also. Hmmm, I am tempted if I can find the money!

We need a Rodger young and Athena class now, seeing as Chronicle never came through!

Here's the images, it sure does look good! I hope it's got a nice strong inner frame for support. It looks long and heavy with a single central attachment point.

The Paint job looks boring, not bad but dull and this is the master.
I fear the worst for the final product.

Out of interest, what would you like to see? It looks alright to me. The Sulaco was just a big block of battleship grey. It had a black wash, and it looks like they took some straight edge masks and sprayed some random black (heavily thinned) in places. But factories ALWAYS mess up the weathering, they have no concept of subtlety. I'm almost glad they didn't bother on this otherwise it'd probably turn up with dark black lines in every groove which would look awful. They have made some effort to distinguish various panels on this with different shades of grey to break it up a bit and add a sense of scale. If I bought one (which I am really tempted to do) And it arrived looking like the prototype, I'd be fairly happy. Although I probably would add some subtle weathering to it, a black wash is really easy to do and would give it the darker appearance of the studio model. I'm not saying that you should have to do this of course, but I also have little confidence that a factory finish would manage it without making things worse.

EDIT: Looking over HCG's pictures again, it looks like they have actually sprayed some thinned black, their pictures for this are so damn small though so it's hard to pick out details....

Been waiting for something for forever. Definitely getting this one. We can just retouch it if we don't like certain places , like always.

Of course.
I'm done with PO.
I will wait for the final product and decide then, too bad if it's out of stock.
I'm fed up paying big price tag for a half finished piece I need to finish painting myself.
I have no more time for this.
And I fear it won't be an easy one because as you can see, the painting here adds a lot of details, not that much sculpted details (panels, lines).
Not sure how the delivered ship will be.
