Having dug around, it appear Hot Toys has the licence, revealed two figures, and that was it?

I've sent Hot Toys a message via Facebook for an update. That was about 3 days ago..
So far, no reply. Maybe they are still on the fence

Maybe Hot Toys could sell them as a pair. Both look better than the recent Hot Toys Black Widow Infinity War figure.

The film was that good to make Hot Toys secure a figure license?

It appears to be a film that wasn't a hit with the masses. Having checked out the DVD recently, it made quite an impression, visually atleast.
I ended up kicking myself for not watching it on Blu-ray.

Deciding to obtain the Blu-ray, i discovered something called big sleeve Blu-ray, and ordered that

Maybe Valerian is destined to become a future classic. A slow burner

I liked it more than I thought I would. I found it visually appealing and never boring.

No.

However Hot Toys locked up the license before release.

When the film tanked they probably decided not to produce.

Personally I liked the film but it wasn't as good as I'd hoped.

It was way too long with bits that had me yawning and the main cast was stiff.

Plenty of amazing visuals and ideas in the film though. The intro where they build the space station was some of the best cinema ever. Shame the rest of the film didn't live up to that.

I do think it will attract more fans over time.

Those figures have impressive camel toe - both of them.

Normally Hot Toys are good at replying, even if they have nothing to add. With Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, Hot Toys failed to reply to either email or via a direct Facebook message. Maybe it is because it is a line they decided not to pursue further.
