Are Prime 1 bases too big?

I've recently received the Arkham Catwoman and the base is way too big imho. In addition, I've got six others from that line.

Do you all think Prime 1 makes their bases too big or are they just right?

No that's part of their style. They do big bases and basic poses.
Their style isn't meant to be friendly to a crowded collection

Nope, I love them just the way they are. Big characters, big bases. If I’m paying this much for statues, I don’t want any skimping.

I completely agree with the previous statement; their style isn’t meant for huge collections. I’ll take 8 P1’s over 16 of anything else.

Yes. The fact that they have to ship their statues in 2 boxes the size of a Bane PF tells you all you need to know to agree with me on that.

It depends, if the size of the base is helping convey a story then it's fine (IE: Comic Harley) but a lot of Prime 1 bases are just plain and way taller then they need to be... some of those bases are like 8"+ in height and there really is no reason for it..

Yes some of them definitely are unnecessarily large and could have been designed better, going bigger and crazier doesn't work forever, at some point it starts to look awkward and distracting.
I know nothing is too big for some collectors and even if the base would be car-sized, they still would praise it

Yes. I'm extra selective with my Prime 1 stuff because of this. It's one of the reasons I prefer the upcoming Guts 1/3 versus the 1/4 statue they released.

I love all the Prime one statues but the one complaint i have is i find the bases to be inconstant in terms of being to big and sometimes not really adding enough to the statue. The base on the Arkham Knight Harley Quinn i really like, it's big but not too big and adds to the overall statue. Same for the Arkham Knight Batman. But the Harley Quinn Suicide Squad base i really do not like at all. It's really big but i don't feel adds anything at all to the statue.
