Hmmmm......I'm not sure how I feel about this piece. The arms will clearly have change-outs so that's OK. And I really like the rest of the details on Red Skull.
It's the base design that's bothering me. If a person has both Red Skull and Thanos, how can they both have a cosmic cube? I'd take that cosmic cube and stand off the piece for that reason alone!
I think Red Skull needs a smaller base fit in line with Cap (both of them). I love the base details with the Hydra logo and the griffins, I just think it's too long.
If you wanted to add something fun in the background, why not make a map off WW2with the Axis and Allies shown?

If you go by the movies, Red Skull had the Cosmic Cube during World War 2, Thanos had it much later in the time line

Gotcha, I wasn't sure what time frames they both held it in.
So my idea of adding an Axis/Allies map was kinda spot on even though I didn't realize it.
And because of that little nugget, I'm more set that either add the map or lose the cube. There is nothing with this piece that hints at WW2 era (for me at least).
Oh and don't hide the pimp cane!

For me....I am less enthused about this simply because I am not the biggest Red Skull fan. He is way down on my Marvel wanted list. Wayyyy down. However, I will still get him to complete my Marvel display as it is shaping up to be a pretty nice statue.

See I don't get that, Xm respond to criticism most of the time. I really like the red skull so I want this to be the best that it can be. But at the moment the art direction on this is a confused mess. Xm are great but they really don't need their arses licked by the select hardcore. The Xm zealots do not help at all, Sycophants are just obstacles from achieving the better results.

The pose is great. I can see him with a switch out arm raising a cosmic cube. I think its the base and background that is not working out for me. I think a hydra banner or plaque would be enough.

I think XM would value your opinion as a true Red Skull fan.
How would you change this piece?
Because I think we can both agree that Red Skull himself in is proportion, designed well and should have nice change-out parts. It's the base/art direction that's bringing this piece down.
And XM does listen. Lizard now has a shirt where before he didn't. I don't think that just randomly happened, I think true fan critique based on character knowledge helped sway that.

XM listen anytime. If 80% love it and one collector of the other 20% not, XM will 100% listen if he has an good point for XM to do it better.
