Black Widow from Iron Man 2 for SideShow by Trevor Grove

I discovered this image today.
I'm assuming it turnout to be the following:

Blame it on the paint app, but the grey scale original looks excellent.
With a better paint, this could look amazing.

Trevor Grove does the most amazing portraits of actors. Check out his Harrison Ford and Ben Kenobi (both young and old).

I've seen those. Very good.
My original point is, a sculptor can only take something so far. The final finish is in the hands of the paint app. It would be interesting to see how much better the Black Window paint app could look in the hands of another painter

Also, a sculpted/painted outfit might have looked better.

Trevor does awesome work, here is a repaint by Vicente Torres...

If SS could get the factories to do this type of painting I doubt anyone would complain about prices

I emailed him about converting my statue to full sculpt and full repaint... here's hoping

That looks better. I think it could look even better.
Hair for example, too shiny. Eye's maybe more shiny

One of the very few that the likeness actually looks like the actress. I repainted mine with "red head" hair color

I noticed that Trevor sculpted a similar mouth to Weta's take on the Major. Both sculptors have focused on creating large lips. Weta did a slightly better job, as the mouth is closed, where as Trevor has decided to have the mouth slightly open, which creates a dark area, which looks slightly odd to me. It could be lighting adds to this.
