THE JEFFERSONS....did you know?

Did you realize there are only TWO people from the cast of the Jeffersons still alive?

Zara Cully (Mother Jefferson), died 2/28/78
Roxie Roker (Helen Willis), died 12/2/95
Isabel Sanford (Louise Jefferson), died 7/9/04
Franklin Cover (Tom Willis), died 2/5/06
Mike Evans (Lionel Jefferson), died 12/14/06
Paul Benedict (Mr. Bentley), died 12/1/08

Marla Gibbs and Sherman Hemsley are all we have left.

Something tragically ironic yet poetic about Florence and Mr. Jefferson being the sole survivors

Is the actress that played Jenny Willis-Jefferson still alive? I think she should be counted as a regular cast member.

Very hard to believe he was in his 20s with that hairline.

One of my favorite shows of all time.
Here's Tom trying to act "black". LOL

Sherman was 36 and Marla was 43 when the Jeffersons first aired in 1975.
