Yeah. As someone who saw the original film multiple times back in '79, THIS is the first statue work I've seen (apart from a recent resin kit), that comes close to representing the character as seen in the film to me.

Mostly everything else up till now has been comic book style interpretations emphasizing postures and attitudes that look dynamic but were the antithesis of what was actually seen on screen.

While this was never a film still pose per se, I could envision a scene with him lying in wait like this and then slowly bringing his head up as his victim is paralyzed with fear...

Was waiting a long time for something more authentic like this to come along. But at this point I already have the second Neca 22" figure and that's probably all I need. Too much other new stuff in the pipeline now to double dip here. Especially given how expensive it's likely to be.

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Mamegyorai, a Japanese company.

I’m happy with my Marmit but 1/3 for this would
be fantastic. Hopefully, it’s not crazy expensive. Displaying this sideways is best imo. I guess we will have to order straight from their store. I know another option is through amiami. I’ve seen their products on the amiami site. I get a lot of my anime figures from them. Does anyone know of a potential release date?

This is an absolutely classic pose.

If you're only going to buy one Big Chap as a stand alone, I could see how this would be unappealing because of the nature of the pose. But in a collection of Alien pieces, this is an incredible addition.

Really glad it's being made, and it has my attention.

Yep. If the price is right, I'm in.

Here's a few more pictures posted by Darkmummy over on SFF. Check out the detail on the tubing......

The official banner link for the project has been removed from the top of the Mamegyorai website, maybe it's completed now?

Here's the link anyway so we can keep an eye on things but it's not been updated for a while : https://mamegyorai-alien-project.blogspot.co.uk

It's up for order for around $1700. ES of 750. I wonder if Sideshow will get this one?
