I empathize with you there. It's weird, as I don't actually dislike any of the other Spider-characters (their respective series don't do much for me, but that's present day Marvel in a nutshell.) They're all cool characters ideas with inspired designs. The whole Spider-verse concept just seems flawed to me in that you have all these Spider-people competing for different levels of reader reliability within the same increasingly insular sandbox. It's like, "This is the book for you, true believer . . . until the big crossover event! Then they're
all the books for you. Pony up!" It's so tiresome.

The classic villains, which aren't out of the realm of possibility given how the X-Men line has expanded beyond the Bendis/Bachalo Uncanny lineup, would make for a much more colorful display than all these symbiotes and alternate Spideys, IMO.
