That would be unfortunate. But I think they should have made them smaller scale. I'd love to get all of them, with a 1/6 scale size and cost, that would have been possible. At 1/4 scale and $500+ a pop, I'm only getting characters I absolutely need to have.
There's so many great characters in the Joe Universe, it's a shame someone hasn't done it right yet.

At this rate, they'll have to change gears real quick if the company is to survive this economy. They could reboot the line in a smaller scale, 1/10, and start strong with a wave of 4-7 characters, with larger diorama bases. However, I know nothing of GI Joe fans and if they're even into statues, and how many potential buyers are out there. I know I would buy a 1/10 line, like Iron Studios, as long as they're well made.
1/4 is heading into the $1k price point, steadily, and I don't see that stopping. I don't think the problem is with PCS entirely, it's just the whole hobby.

I mean I think we can hold off on the doom and gloom. PCS hasn't even delivered Storm Shadow yet. He should land this year. And for every person wishing for a smaller scale 3 people will swing into the thread wishing for 1/4 scale. And while I wish the pricing was lower the entire hobby's pricing has gone crazy. Lets see the response to Storm Shadow first. After the first in hand pics go out and if the fit and finish is up to par I'm sure more sales will be incoming. Then PCS will see if collectors are actually supporting the line. No business is going to continue to invest in something the customer doesn't want.

YES! THIS! I've been wishing for this since I started collecting 1/10.

Agree! 1/10 scale seems perfect for GI Joe because of the large number of characters.

Joes were also all about the vehicles...at least for me and my friends.
Maybe smaller scale and incorporating those?

Absolutely. My only fear is that Iron Studios is so tied up with other properties (especially movies) they wouldn't go deep with the line.
