I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

He stated at one point the last 10 will go back to inks and full body

overall looks cool but he could easily take these to the next level by inking some additional detail and giving it the iconic jim lee flare

I agree. The body shape of this one looks like Ed McGuinness painted it. I wouldn't know it was Jim Lee if he hadn't signed it.

for some reason this one really frustrates me, i get that he wants to do something different but man this one has so much potential. with some line work this could be really special, what a bummer. some of his watercolors i really liked as is (armored batman, wonder woman, punchline) but aside from not being a recognizable piece this looks kind of unfinished imo

I see why you're frustrated Sonic. It's a pure Jim Lee cover quality pose that is lacking the tightness and angles of his work because he didn't do any bold line-work.

I'm happy we are on the final 10. Lets crank out some serious magic!

Yeah, these painted pieces have largely been a miss for me. However, Jim Lee has reached a level of status where just about anything he draws will bring in the big bucks regardless.

At almost 14K already, Jim is clearly bringing out the big ballers lol

Not my cup of tea as I would prefer the bold line work as well ... can't wait for the final 10

14 k for that... He’ll soon be able to sell for a bunch of k his only signature scribbled on a piece of restaurant tablecloth.
The consecration, in short.
His drawing of Death was so so so so much better. I can't forget it.
