was thinking this didn't look as strong as the prototype.
But looking at the prototype again,

nope. Pretty consistent.
Any slight variance could be chalked up to lighting, lens distortion, the need to futz the hair a bit- or a combo of all three.
Looks like they hit as close to that proto as you could realistically hope for.
Congrats to the potential owners. I think they got a big winner here.

I was also going to mention this earlier, when people were talking about the expected higher cost of the Queen 1:4 Black Widow over the IS.
Their busts are in the $3K + range.
This is a full figure piece, with a beautiful environmental base, and the full on silicone/rooted hair portrait for a statue that is going to top out quite a bit larger than the majority of the busts- yet the price is under $2500- which puts it just a few hundred over JNDs even simpler 1:3s.

Seems silly to say this about something at this price point, but this piece seems like a bargain to me at this moment in time.

I'd have to agree.
2500 seems really reasonable to me for a 1:2 piece like this.

I think this production piece looks amazing. The hair almost looks TOO neat if that makes sense but I'm sure you could mess it up a little. And as others have said, this price point seems more than reasonable considering what you get (the life size busts are a lot more money and while they are awesome, I prefer full size statues).

At half scale, pluse a few inches for the base and another 5" or so (being very conservative) for the top of the trident, this has to be coming in close to 4' tall, if not more.

That's gong to have some serious room presence.

Now do a Mera, guys

It's breathtaking.....and that's only looking at the pictures, in person it's gonna look even better! I love that they added the neck tattoo, was not even on the prototype, happy they didn't forget it. Extremely happy that I got this, only a few months away and he'll be mine.

Ya it was supposed to come out Q4 of 2020, but hey, they needed to make it absolutely perfect and they did!

This looks incredible, if only all production pieces can turn out like this one from other companies. I love the base, perfect example of striking a balance between detail and simplicity without losing the context of the theme. Congrats to all getting this beautiful, marvelous statue.
