I'm a member but I have never posted.
Absolutely awesome pics of the piece (I'd say even better than the F4F official ones). Was it just using your room ambient lighting or some softbox lighting? I also try to take pics of my statues indoors but they never turn out looking so balanced and more "lit" if you know what I mean. That D4s sure is a nice piece too btw. I use a D810.

Thanks you! The D810 is an excellent camera with amazing sharpness, I used to have the D800.

Where I shot there are two windows, the shutter on these windows is not completely open to avoid direct sunlights on the statue.
Also on one of the window, the sunlights reflects on a white surface which gives the "lit".

I used the same technique for this picture of Red Sonja, with less light.

Spoiler

I appreciate the breakdown and diagram! I think one can get a similar effect by bouncing a little flash into a white reflector that's in font. I'll try it on my next acquisition

I haven't had a chance to keep up with the line lately, so my apologies in advance if this has been covered.

Have there been any updates in regards to the Ornstein and Solaire pieces teased a few months back?
