For me, the new piece has a more commanding pose (though they are similar), insanely more detail (there's more detail in his chest alone vs. the entirety of the original statue), a better face sculpt, a better base and is fully sculpted as opposed to crappy looking fabric pajama pants.

But, to each their own
I agree with everything you said except the pose part. The pose just murders this piece for me. I would have already ordered if he was just standing differently. I even considered how he might be able to be customized by cutting apart and reposing, but that's just way to much work and certainly beyond my skills. I'll just have to wait for the next one.

Ugh, I can't stand the Allied Cap. I bought it and it has not left the box.

Yeah, the pose on this one is kind of awkward, which is what is keeping me from ordering this. If I can get a good deal on the regular I will get it. The Ultron head EX is not a must for me.

For me, comparing this new Cap to the older Captain Americas, especially the OG one, is like comparing a modern day exotic car to a classic car. The classic car still has charm and will still be sought after by a niche group of people but the modern exotic is pretty much better in every way.

Try to do the same statue pose at home.
A person feels confident in moving on.
I really like the pose

+1 People who can't afford the OG will buy the newer version. Polls don't reflect anything.
