Can you please cite your sources for your statements?

Is English your first language? Serious question.

Well, that's where you listened to teachers and perhaps discussed these theories with your fellow students. But when presenting "facts", there should be a scientific or quantitative analysis that fully supports the facts.

So, teachers and fellow students aren't actually sources of fact, they're sources of opinions. Where are the sources that THEY gleaned these "facts" from?

Oh, they were fellow architects, and architects know art. You don't believe me, so be it. Get an art history book and study. I had my art history papers but who knows where they are, it has been 10 years since i graduated.

Great, which art history book? I mean, every math book says 2+2 is 4. Every science book will tell you that water is made up of two molecules of Hydrogen and one of Oxygen. So every art history book will give me your four key "facts of art", yes?

1) If it's not new, it's not art?
2) If it doesn't convey information (whatever this is supposed to mean), it's not art?
3) ALL "super hero" comics are violent and about raising soldiers?
4) If it's not realistic (represents something in real life), it's not art?

Please, provide me a book to read which has the chapters that cover each of these topics.

Thanks!!

Art history book don't give you that information, it only teachs you the relics of past. To learn that you need design lessons from an wise and old architect teacher of mine... those were fun days... lol Read world classics novels.

Great. So where is the design book that provides this information? I mean, c'mon, these are "facts" you're giving us. Surely there's some written record of these "facts"?
