Forbidden Planet just cost me my Nova statue...

So with the money my family gave me for christmas, about 50% went on bills and stuff, but I wanted to treat myself so I kept enough back for modern Nova.

After Anand stole the modern nova statue I was eyeing up from where I buy my statues from, I had a look elsewhere.

I found three possible sources, the cheapest being ForbiddenPlanet.co.uk. Ordered it, but thought it was a little strange that they were only excepting paypal for it, so I phoned them and they assured me they had one in stock.

They take my cash, and then two weeks go buy. I phone them and they say they'll look into it and get back to me. Turns out they don't have one in stock...now the other two places have sold out and now I have to spend the money that's in my paypal account otherwise I'll have to take the hit on fees transferring it back to my account.

Anyone got any ideas where I can find one?

They can refund your money to you without subjecting you to the loss in fees. They can either use the merchant refund option and refund money in full or gift it to you, which is a non fee transaction as long as it is in the same state, province or in your case country!

Don't let them tell you that they can't! Heck! You should just be able to walk into the store and get a cash refund. They can keep the Paypal payment!

It's definitely a candidate for Bowen's best of 2009.
