Be fair; nothing at all will've been happening with this for the past several months. Heck, there's not even really a SDCC this year.
otoh .. the mandystatues.com website has been 'down' for awhile, now.

I just got an email from them, they're selling even more Artist Proofs of their sitting pretty Mandy statue... How many Artist Proofs did they make ?!? This is like their 3rd time having a sale on them, I think there are more Artist Proofs than the numbered statues

Sitting Pretty was an Electric Tiki statue; not Anders Ehrenborg (though, it was discussed earlier in this thread) ..
I have two of the Sitting Pretty figures, myself .. mostly because of the staggered way ET handled pre-orders. The pre-order for my first choice (with the blue pillow) had already ended, so I pre-ordered the 'giraffe-patterned' pillow instead. Later, when shipments began going out .. I was able to buy a blue pillow version, as well.
It does seem like the AP sale for SP has been going on for awhile..!
According to the ET site, there were 15 AP figures made for each of the six color variants. That's 90 AP figures, in total (in addition to the sum total of 500 figures, in the 'regular' editions)

Reason: added info on AP edition size

I have the Zebra pillow. Paid full (normal) price back in the day $299.99 + $98.00 p+p + 20% Import fee
At the time, Lime green had sold out
I just ordered the Lime green AP
$199.00 + $55.00 p+p + $69.00 Import fee
..i hope i receive a decent AP
How has shipping dropped by half? at a time when shipping is going through the roof?

We made 500 regular versions which sold out quickly (although I do stil have the #1 of each variant). We made 15 AP's of each that came with the signed certificate. Dean got 15% of the entire run to sell himself at conventions. We probably have 20 APs left. We are offering a sale on Giraffe and Lime which we have more of than the others left (Magenta and Leopard AP are gone as well). I am thinking of a move back East in then next year or so I'm trying to downsize where possible. Best wishes.

Cheers, Tracy; Sitting Pretty is a marvelous Mandy statue..!
If anything, I'm surprised the AP edition hadn't also sold out, long ago. As said, I already have two of them, myself ..
I also recall visiting your table at SDCC the year you announced Mandy's Bust. I signed-up on your 'pre-order' sign-up sheet -- and my name was very near the top -- but I was still very surprised (and delighted!) to later receive #004 of that figurine; it remains a cherished part of my 'Mandy' collection!

Awww, thanks Droosan. Glad you got a low #. Also, in the future we are going to be a bit more discerning with our edition sizes. I think today's market would be perfectly fine with smaller editions.
best,
Tracy

I doubt that's the reason here though. They announced there would be a new variant 3 years ago in July of 2017 and then decided on a different design 2 years ago in late 2018. It's been 2 years of radio silence and they have taken their website down. I wish they would confirm whether the line is dead or not but I guess that's a safe assumption at this point.
