The Micronauts!

I think Im gonna go back and collect some of my childhood favs - the Micronauts!

Space Glider, Time Traveler, Pharoid, Astro Station, Baron Karza, Force Commander, Photon Sled, Biotron, Microtron, Acroyer...they rock!

I might stop though once I discover how friggin hard and expensive this hunt could get.

They came from inner space...

I hear you on the hunt. I started recollecting them about 3 years ago. I have quite the collection now. The only place I have found them is Ebay. Be careful if you buy the Palisades figures. Series one had flaws and would break or come broken. 1.5 and 2 were good. Series 1 is good for display. Good luck and enjoy. I have many good memories playing with these as a kid.

I've thought about buying a Micronaut figure or two, myself. They were really cool back in the day.

There were some problems with the early Palisades reissues, but if you're just displaying them, they should be okay. The packaging style makes them easy to display. They'll be a lot cheaper than the orignals!

I was too old to play with Micronauts when they first came out but I did enjoy and collect the comics that Marvel produced.

I remember when I was a kid and our backyard flooded from a lot of rain. We had this Micronauts ship that actually worked on batteries and worked in the water. Ton of fun.

Sadly, my last memory of my Micronauts (the toys) was when my I was preparing to embark on my military journey.

My parents were preparing to move and I had boxed up all of my stuff. I thought I had made it clear to not take my boxes of comics and Micronauts until they were ready to move in. Years of collecting and allowances spent caused the natural fear of separation.

Turns out my Micronauts made the first trip and were just as quickly stolen. Seeing at the time as though I had nearly every Micronaut made in the U.S. trying to find these treasures from years ago was fruitless. (Too many Christmases and birthdays had passed).

Soon, a new hobby took the place of the old - the collecting of Silver Age Marvel comics. Somehow I think the less expensive of the two would have been to rediscover the Micronauts.

These were/ are still some of the greatest toys ever made. Oh yeah, that Michael Golden comic book wasn't so bad either. Thanks.
