I honestly can’t find one thing that the XM version did better. SS Gambit wins in every category for me.

IMO:

Brown Wolverine: XM > SS
Cyclops: XM > SS
Colossus: XM = SS
Sabretooth: XM = SS
Dark Phoenix: XM < SS (I like the portrait better)
Cable: XM < SS
Gambit: XM <<<< SS

The quickest way to double your money is to fold it in half and put it back in your pocket.

because some people think if it comes from XM it is always better than sideshow. I have ordered both XM and Sideshow Gambit, but I more excited to see this SS version in person.

i can tell you that based on the proto they had at sdcc the production piece is pretty spot on.100%? probably not but VERY close. i don't mind spending this type of money if the product comes out as close as the proto.

This turned out great. Can't wait for some better pics and comparison videos.

Comparing production pieces, i think the only area the SS version wins is in the card action. The XM appears to have a better paint app.
Better paint but the card arc on the SS piece is much better (guess we will see when XM redoes theirs). I really like the toothpick portrait on SS as well, too bad we don't have any close ups to see the fine details yet. If it wasn't mixed media, I might have went with this one instead.

Personally I like XM's more because I like the additional details, full sculpt and paint but this looks to be a home run to me. Great job by SS here, looking forward to seeing the videos so we can get some better pics.

They are giving everyone extra arc that something SS would never do .

Yeah I commented on that, but we haven't seen the new arc from XM and how it compares.

I don't even care about the card pointing down on XM, I just like the coloring and the look of the SS arc more. Just my opinion, I think they both look good but as I said I went with the XM piece because i love the detail and paint/don't like the SS mixed media. I wouldn't fault anyone from going either direction here, both are good and nice to have options on our favorite characters.

Looking forward to more in hand and videos of this guy!

Are they doing another arc because they ruined the advertised one? Odd either way. Wonder how few of these they got in?

SS Gambit is fully sculpted. There is no mixed media on this one.
