I went to a general store. They wouldn't let me buy anything specifically.

Looks great, especially the girl !
The only thing I don't like is how his feet are so deeply covered in the ''mud''.

The painting and the Moore version just kind of blend the boots and the muck with no discernible separation. I actually prefer the ARH defined boots, but now that you mention it they could be a little shallower into the muck, but it doesn't bother me. Personal taste I guess.

Here are a few, let me know if you want to see anything in particular and as always I apologize for the terrible photography

I think so too. For me the paint is just as important as the sculpt. My factory job wasn't stellar but to be fair to ARH if it had been close to as good as Arahom's prototype I wouldn't have had it repainted, I would have liked it fine. I understand though that when you use dozens of factory painters some are going to be good and others not so good. Mine wasn't good enough for me because it is one my favorite Frazetta paintings so it was worth it to me to have it done.

What a difference! The repaint is stunning. The original.....absolutely terrible. They should be ashamed.

I think factory paint jobs are always a crap shoot. They probably use dozens of painters of varying skill and level of devotion to getting a good product. Some will be really good, some not so much, hand painting by the multitudes is like that. If mine had come in reasonably close to Arahom's prototype I doubt I would have incurred the expense to have it repainted. If mine was as good as Shedman's (the only other I have seen in person) I probably wouldn't have done it, his factory paint up looks pretty good to me. As it is, this is one of my favorite Frazetta's so I am glad I had it repainted. There is no shame to ARH for it, I had one of my CS Moore's repainted for the same reason and many people have.
