Drive-In Theaters

Has anyone been to one since the global pandemic started?

I read that The Empire Strikes Back topped the domestic box office this past weekend with a $600,000+ gross thanks largely to drive-in screenings.

There is one about an hour from me (now that I moved) but they have been showing Raiders of the Lost Ark, Star Wars, and other classic movies. If it was closer, I would be going there all the time.

Back when I was 16 Drive-Ins were going out of style, there weren't that many left, but the few times I did go to one it was never to watch a movie

Blockbusters are apparently what these theaters have decided to be the safest attractions. The one nearest my family's cabin when I was there earlier this month was showing Ghostbusters (1984) and Jumanji: The Next Level.

I just wish that the city would do this throughout the whole summer. There would be many spots along all three rivers here in Pittsburgh where it could be done.
